It’s so easy for me to detest the music that becomes popular today. I need to look no further than lyrical content or the obnoxious repetitive melodies to automatically create and push the “do not like” button. Jay Sean came out with a song that blew up on radio, and I almost laughed the first time I heard it at how awful I thought it was. Someone, somewhere, who is smarter than me was able to do what I believe is a choice…they got inspired.
I first saw this video back in December…two months later I am still moved. This group of people decided to respond to pain I’m certain they encounter every day and create something (I never thought I’d associate this song with this term) beautiful. Sometimes I don’t see it the first time, but hope has many faces.
“So baby dont worry, you are my only.
You wont be lonely, even if the sky is falling down.
Youll be my only, no need to worry.”
