Same here. While I haven’t toured as much as you gentleman, I feel the same about my laminate collection as well as the kids-who-wear-fake/old-laminates.Packing up all my stuff in my room. These are all my saved laminates from tours and festivals. I can’t even fan them all out to look nice. Someday I plan on framing all of them. But not until I really know I’m done touring. That’s how I’ll know I’m done. Just like one of the first things I do after getting home from tour is putting my laminate on this ring.
That is the first thing I do when I get home from a tour as well. I put my laminate on a keyring with the rest of them before I even think about unpacking my actual luggage. Framing them sounds like a really cool idea man, I might have to steal that from you some day, I’ll even make a laminate that says “idea stolen from Dylan.”
This also ties into a pet-peeve of mine. For some reason it annoys me to see people with laminates still on their keys a month after their tour ended or people that carry every laminate they’ve ever had with them on a new tour.
Bigger pet-peeve, girls at shows that put photo-passes or other satin passes on their key-rings and keep them on there until the end of time.
